What To Expect
We are looking for a People Operations Coordinator to support our team in Australia and New Zealand. The People Operations Team provide exceptional service to our existing and future workforce, helping drive a more sustainable future.

The People Operations team achieves results by being driven, innovative, accurate, collaborative and trustworthy. This is an opportunity to support Tesla’s Human Resources and Recruiting teams in administration, while gaining exposure into several systems, processes and projects. The ideal candidate will be able to pivot between quick administration support and projects, challenge manual process and introduce modern solutions to the HR and Recruiting teams.

What You'll Do

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to help our HR and Recruiting teams run efficiently
  • Support Recruiters and Hiring Managers to coordinate telephone, video and face-to-face interviews across different time zones
  • Answer day to day employee queries via our E-Ticketing system and draft employment contracts
  • Update candidate and employee life-cycle events in HR and Recruiting systems
  • Find efficiencies in people operations processes using AI and automated solutions
  • Support weekly reporting and create ad-hoc reports as required
  • Support onboarding and office upkeep, including ordering supplies, coordinating desk arrangements, and assisting with office engagement initiatives in Melbourne office
  • Raise and manage Purchase Orders, and coordinate with multiple vendors and talent agencies


  • What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
  • At least 1-years’ experience in a HR or Recruiting Coordinator/Administrator role or similar
  • Ability to deploy AI tools and automation solutions in a work environment; hands-on experience highly regarded
  • Proficient and quick in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel; experience with HR systems is a plus
  • Passionate about driving Tesla’s mission and helping your team
  • Ability to independently solve problems and make informed decisions, using all resources available
  • Able to operate effectively in a very fast moving, developing, and constantly changing company
  • Outstanding attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to develop strong, strategic, and positive working relationships across all levels and functions
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, think outside the box, suggest and challenge processes
