Job Purpose

As an Android Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mobile experiences to our growth partner's users.

You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining features in a native Android environment, using Kotlin and modern architectural patterns. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, through all stages of the software development lifecycle. Your commitment to clean code, continuous improvement, and shared ownership will help shape the future of our partner's mobile applications.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and deliver new features.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle, including technical design, implementation, testing, deployment, experimentation, and analysis.
• Review code and design documents, and help improve engineering standards and best practices.
• Provide feedback on product design, UX, and data tracking specifications.
• Contribute to a culture of learning and knowledge-sharing by staying up-to-date with the latest tools and trends in Android development.
• Embrace shared ownership of team goals and contribute to a collaborative and purpose-driven work environment.
  
  
  

Experience & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Android development using Kotlin.

Strong understanding of asynchronous programming using Coroutines.

Proficient in consuming REST APIs using tools like OkHttp and Retrofit.

Advanced experience with Dependency Injection, particularly with Dagger2.

Familiarity with modern architectural patterns like MVI and MVP.

Experience with Jetpack Compose or willingness to deepen expertise in Compose.

Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and mobile test automation practices.

Basic knowledge of Java (our codebase contains <3% Java).

Experience working in an Agile environment with a high level of autonomy.

Intermediate proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
