Senior Frontend Developer

We are working with an innovative SaaS business that is scaling rapidly and looking to add a Svelte Developer to its established, collaborative engineering team. This is a key front-end role focused on enhancing a high-performance customer-facing platform used by a wide range of B2B clients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be confident in building modern single-page applications, passionate about creating great user experiences, and keen to contribute to a fast-moving and supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive, scalable features using Svelte and Tailwind CSS
• Collaborate with back-end developers and product teams to implement new features and improve existing ones
• Consume and integrate REST APIs into the front-end application
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using unit, integration, and end-to-end testing practices
• Conduct and participate in regular code reviews to maintain high standards and encourage team learning
• Actively participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Mentor junior developers and support the team’s ongoing technical development

Required Skills

• Strong commercial experience building SPAs with Svelte
• Solid knowledge of Tailwind CSS
• Proven ability to work with RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with automated testing (unit, integration, E2E)
• Confident using Git for version control, including managing branches and resolving merge conflicts

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to back-end development, ideally with PHP/Laravel or .NET/C#
• Experience with Docker in a development context
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure)
• Understanding of the print or direct mail industry is a bonus
