Job Description


  • Build & Maintain: Work closely with the team to discover and develop new features that make our product better, faster, and more efficient.
  • Ensure Reliability: Develop asynchronous applications and guarantee high performance and reliability at all times.
  • Write Quality Code: Develop and maintain robust test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end tests) to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate Across Frontend & Backend: While your focus will be backend development, you'll collaborate with frontend teams (React) and help bridge the gap when needed.
  • Support Data Science: Help support our data science initiatives by contributing to Python scripts when required.
  • Deploy & Scale: Take ownership of deploying and maintaining applications on Azure Cloud, ensuring they scale and remain secure.


The Successful Applicant


  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in PHP and Symfony development.
  • Testing Skills: Solid experience in developing and maintaining test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end testing).
  • Cloud Knowledge: Experience deploying and maintaining applications in Azure (preferred).
  • Backend Expertise: Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and the ability to write efficient and scalable applications.
  • Frontend Collaboration: Ability to contribute to React applications, collaborating with frontend teams when necessary.
  • Python Bonus: Familiarity with Python, especially for supporting data science tasks, is a plus.
  • Languages: Dutch and English
