Back End Developer

Job Description

We currently have a vacancy for a Back-End Developer fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

• · Development of back-end website applications;
• · Creation of servers and databases for functionality;
• · Understanding and implementation of security and data protection;
• · Responsible for cross-platform optimization.
• · Design responsive applications and develop APIs;
• · Participate in the design and creation of scalable software;
• · Maintenance of code integrity and organization;
• · Writing clean, functional code for the back-end and possibly front-end applications;
• · Compile and analyze data, processes, and codes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement;
• · Test and fix bugs or other coding issues;
• · Meet both technical and consumer needs;
• · Write technical documentation.

Requirements

• · University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• · Experience in Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, Java EE;
• · Experience in OpenID Connect integration;
• · Experience in SSO;
• · Experience in Kafka and JMS;
• · Experience in RDBMS database technology such as Oracle DB;
• · Experience in REST and SOAP services;
• · Experience with tools for web services testing (SOAPUI, ReadyAPI, Postman);
• · Experience with access management tools (Secunda and IOP IAM);
• · Experience in Cloud development with Amazon web services;
• · Experience in blockchain technology;
• · Knowledge of API GW configuration with OAuth 2;
• · Knowledge of Oracle WebLogic Server, Apache;
• · Knowledge of SSL/TLS Protocol configuration in application servers;
• · Knowledge of reverse proxy configuration;
• · Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines;
• · Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git;
• · Knowledge of development, building and deployment of micro services;
• · Excellent knowledge of the English language, French would be an asset.
