System Engineer

Location: Luxembourg

Languages: French and English mandatory; any other language is an asset

Responsibilities:

• Handling day-to-day operational tasks
• Participating in cross-functional projects
• Contributing within a multidisciplinary team (Windows, VMware, third-party apps, security, advanced troubleshooting, etc.)
• Improving and ensuring system reliability
• Managing Level 3 support tickets
• Writing comprehensive documentation
• Providing knowledge transfer to internal teams, especially those responsible for endpoint management

Profile:

• Advanced technical background required
• Able to plan and carry out tasks autonomously
• Will need to coordinate cross-team activities
• Role focuses on Windows Server infrastructure
• Familiarity with PatchMyPC
• Basic knowledge of networking, DNS, web proxies, firewalls, and VMware environments
• Advanced expertise with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM) in a production setting
• In-depth knowledge of Windows Server (2016–2025)
• Strong command of PowerShell scripting and automation
• Solid experience in application packaging
• Proficient in System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
• Good understanding of Microsoft environment hardening and cybersecurity best practices
• Proven professional experience (5+ years) in a corporate environment
• Quick adaptability and strong team spirit and ability to work independently
• Proactive mindset with multitasking capabilities
• Strong organizational skills and confident communication
• Awareness of operating within a critical and regulated environment (e.g. financial sector, high SLA expectations, user-focused service quality)
• Compliance with established procedures and organizational structures
• Ability to produce technical documentation and share knowledge effectively
• Fluent in French and English; knowledge of Luxembourgish is a plus
