What We're Looking For
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Golang to join our Card Processing Team. The Card Processing team manages direct integrations into the Card Networks for Card Issuing, handling high volumes of transactions. We seek a self-dependent, autonomous individual eager to learn, who thrives on mentoring teammates, openly discussing ideas, and collaboratively agreeing on solutions. This role is rewarding and requires both leadership and technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Autonomously design, build, and maintain robust APIs, services, and distributed systems
- Collaborate closely with other engineers to architect and implement scalable new features
- Lead efforts in improving engineering standards, tooling, and development processes
- Build reusable code and libraries to support future growth and maintainability
- Independently debug and address complex production issues across multiple services and layers of the stack
- Mentor junior team members, fostering technical and professional growth
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Go developer
- Expert-level knowledge of Micro-service architectures
- Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL databases
- Extensive experience building APIs using REST and gRPC
- Strong proficiency with DevOps practices and tools
- Demonstrated ability in independently planning and deploying scalable production systems
- Experience contributing significantly to open-source projects
- Proven teamwork skills with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Practical experience with container technologies: Docker, ECS/K8s/Nomad
- Creative thinker and excellent team collaborator
