About The Role

As a Full Stack PHP/Angular Web Developer at Homedeal, you'll play a vital role in building and improving our online marketplaces, which facilitate millions of transactions each year. You'll join a cross-functional product team, dedicated to delivering smart, scalable solutions that connect businesses and consumers in the home improvement industry across 10 countries.

Our dynamic, international team with developers is located in both our Utrecht headquarters and our development hub in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. We work with the Shape Up methodology - emphasizing clear problem definition, fixed work cycles, and empowered teams. You'll have the autonomy to make meaningful contributions while collaborating closely with peers to deliver work that truly matters. Together, we create and optimize platforms that power a global marketplace - in a culture rooted in collaboration, trust, and humility.

We ask you to

• Collaborate and innovate: Work closely with your product team - including developers, product manager, business intelligence and UX design - to build new features and enhancements for the Homedeal platform, introducing cutting-edge technical solutions to address complex needs.
• Full-stack development: Build robust back-end solutions using PHP/Symfony and ensure seamless integration with performant, user-friendly front-end features built in Angular.
• Raise the bar: Write clean, maintainable code, implement automated tests, and participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality and scalability.
• Continuously improve: Experiment, validate, and scale new ideas that enhance the user experience and increase platform efficiency.
  
  

This is you

• You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• You have a strong track record of working experience in web development, with strong PHP skills and substantial experience with modern frameworks like Symfony (version 7).
• You come with solid front-end experience with JavaScript and a framework like Angular (we are at v19).
• You have basic knowledge of Docker and containerization.
• You're fluent in English communication skills (written and spoken).
• You have a systematic, hands-on mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
