For one of our banking clients we are seeking an experienced and independently driven Senior Cloud Security Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and a strong focus on cloud cybersecurity. You will serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Azure within a high-performing, cross-functional engineering team that develops and maintains advanced Cloud Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platforms.
As part of a globally integrated cybersecurity platform team, you will contribute to innovative cloud monitoring, IAM solutions, and DevOps automation initiatives that support critical security infrastructure for a large, multi-national organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Implement advanced, multi-cloud monitoring and IAM solutions tailored for enterprise-level cloud environments.
- Lead Automation efforts via DevOps pipelines and Azure resources, including the creation of custom tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive Cloud Security Capabilities, ensuring alignment with internal stakeholder requirements for functionality, security, performance, and cost-efficiency.
- Act as a Knowledge Hub, mentoring team members, sharing best practices, and serving as the go-to expert for all Azure-related cloud security matters.
- Continuously Improve the security, scalability, and maintainability of existing Cloud Security solutions.

You will be embedded in a collaborative and multicultural Agile Scrum team within the Cyber Defense Center Engineering Platform. The team emphasizes open communication, shared learning, and operational ownership. With a strong culture of mutual support and professional growth, you will help deliver secure and reliable platform capabilities to internal security service teams.
Technical Expertise
- Advanced knowledge of Azure Security Services (Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Logic Apps, Microsoft 365 Lighthouse).
- Hands-on experience with cross-tenant Microsoft security configurations.
- Proficiency in Azure DevOps, including pipelines, service connections, and integration workflows.
- Programming and scripting skills: Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, YAML, and Infrastructure as Code (JSON/Bicep).
- Strong background in log analytics, Kusto Query Language (KQL), and security-related data engineering (Databricks preferred).
- Solid grasp of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and ITIL-aligned operations.
