The Robotics Autonomy Lab in DSO's Robotics Division develops a wide range of technologies for robotics autonomy. We are looking for a Robotics Mission Research Engineer to work on the development and deployment of algorithms for Robotics Mission for UGVs and Drones.

Robotics Mission Research Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Design and develop robot behaviours, decision-making logic and multi-robot coordination algorithms for different type of ground robots and drones
- Conduct research into state-of-the-art techniques such as deep reinforcement learning for automated creation of new robot behaviours and decentralised methods for multi-robot coordination
- Work with software engineers on software integration and testing
- Work closely with the team to perform experimental testing, verification and validation in simulation and field trials
- PhD / Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering / Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering
- Strong theoretical/ applied skills in machine learning/ robotics
- Strong programming skills in C / C++ / Python
- Ability to work well in a team
- Hands-on experience in robotics projects
