Our customer is a multinational corporation with more than a century of history and offices in over 180 countries. Their most ambitious goal at the time is to introduce a range of Reduced-Risk Products (RRPs). The target audience is more than 1 billion of consumers around the globe.

Requirements:

7+ years of experience working as a DevOps

Programming and scripting skills: expertise in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Ruby, as well as scripting languages, such as Bash or PowerShell.

Cloud computing: Experience with cloud platforms, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is highly valued.

Configuration management: Knowledge of configuration management tools, such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, is important for automating software deployment and infrastructure management.

Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes, is essential for creating and managing portable and scalable application environments.

Continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins or GitLab, is crucial for automating the build, test, and deployment processes.

Monitoring and logging: Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Nagios, Prometheus, or ELK stack, is important for detecting and troubleshooting system issues.

Collaboration and communication: Strong communication and collaboration skills are critical for working effectively with development and operations teams, as well as for managing stakeholder expectations.

Problem-solving and critical thinking: excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve complex system issues.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain software delivery pipelines and infrastructure that support continuous integration, delivery, and deployment.

Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure that software is delivered with high quality, speed, and reliability.

Automate manual processes, such as testing, deployment, and monitoring, to improve efficiency and reduce errors.

Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues in production environments.

Troubleshoot production issues, conducting root cause analysis and implementing remediation plans.

Manage and scale infrastructure resources, such as servers, databases, and cloud services, to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness.

Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Continuously learn and keep up to date with new technologies and industry trends to improve system performance, security, and efficiency.
