  • Salary on offer: £100,000 - £125,000 + Performance Bonus (10-15%)

A leading financial institution is seeking a passionate and experienced Agile Coach to join our team.


About the Role


As an Agile Coach, you will be pivotal in facilitating and supporting our Agile teams, ensuring strict adherence to Scrum principles and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement. You will proactively remove obstacles, foster enhanced team collaboration, and ensure seamless communication between the team and key stakeholders. Your expertise will be crucial in empowering teams to consistently deliver exceptional, iterative results within a regulated financial environment.


Key Responsibilities


  • Facilitate Agile Events: Expertly facilitate Scrum events, ensuring they are consistently productive, positive, and delivered within the agreed timebox.
  • Drive Iteration Execution: Ensure the quality of ceremony artifacts and the continuous delivery of customer value through effective iteration execution, meticulous backlog refinement, and the incorporation of stakeholder feedback.
  • Optimize Workflow: Proactively identify and resolve impediments to team workflow, utilizing relevant metrics to enhance communication and ensure comprehensive visibility of work.
  • Mitigate Risks: Identify and escalate risks promptly, removing impediments and effectively shielding the team from disruptions, with a particular focus on regulatory and compliance considerations.
  • Cultivate High-Performing Teams: Foster and coach Agile teams to embody Agile attributes and embrace continuous improvement, encourage proactive stakeholder collaboration, and drive the development of high-performing team characteristics.
  • Enhance Stakeholder Management: Strategically facilitate collaboration with business stakeholders, product teams, and vendors, building strong, trust-based, and enduring relationships, including those with regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure Governance and Reporting: Ensure data integrity and provide expert representation at relevant governance forums, as required, with a focus on meeting industry-specific reporting standards.


What You Will Do


You will play a key role in delivering new digital platform capabilities, modernizing our digital landscape to create a market-leading digital offering with a focus on superior customer experience. You will be responsible for developing Scrum principles and sprint goals that align with industry best practices and organizational objectives. This involves fostering a high-performing technology team and ensuring the successful progression of Scrum projects. You will collaborate closely with lines of business, translating their needs into innovative solutions through rapid prototyping and proof of concepts, leveraging technologies such as Java, BDD testing, and Public Cloud (AWS). This role will be instrumental in driving agile adoption within a complex financial services technology ecosystem.


What We Are Looking For


  • Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrable experience of working successfully in an Agile transformation environment within the financial services industry.
  • A strong understanding of Java, BDD testing concepts, and Public Cloud (AWS) within a banking context.


Desirable Skills


  • Knowledge of authorization and authentication technologies, including Policy as Code, IAM, and IAM solutions (e.g., PingGateway, PingAM, PingIDM, PingDS).
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, coupled with patience and resilience to drive change and overcome resistance within a large financial institution.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts and solutions for both technical and non-technical audiences, ensuring clarity and precision.
  • Accredited Agile practitioner with relevant certifications.
