About The Role

This role will form part of the Infrastructure and Cyber team within Bluestone. It will encompass development and operational support activities to assist the service desk, security team and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure and VMware) and applications across the business. This role has a requirement to be on-call once every three weeks.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, coding and unit testing infra-as-code, automated deployment code, server side and database level applications within an agile development environment.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of software development tools such as GitHub, CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure DevOps, C#, .NET, SQL Server and Web APIs.
  • Manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services (AWS, Azure, VMware).
  • Perform access control and vulnerability management, including monitoring and maintaining of system security configuration.
  • Continuously review and actively contribute improve and streamline the development and operations processes.
  • Provide support to the development team in building and troubleshooting the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot infrastructure or deployment issues.
  • Build and manage container platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Participate in code reviews, documentation and knowledge-sharing within the team.
  • Support security, scalability and availability requirements of infrastructure and software applications.
  • Collaborate with the developers, QA and operations team to ensure the smooth implementation of changes.
  • Participate in the Disaster Recovery, Backup and Restore activities to ensure the availability of infrastructure and software applications.
  • Manage the Firewall, Switches, Access Points, Locker System in the physical office.

Your Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience in a related technical support role using automation technologies.
  • Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux systems, including command-line tools.
  • Experience on YAML, JSON, CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS, Azure, JavaScript, CSS/HTML5, TypeScript.
  • Experience on version control system such as Github and Azure Devops.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to prioritise work and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Technical Experience

  • In depth knowledge of a Windows Domain environment
  • Architectural experience of cloud providers such as AWS and Azure
  • PowerShell/Bash scripting
  • Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation/Terraform)
  • Networking and Virtualisation
  • Business continuity, disaster recovery, backup and restore processes
  • Load balancing and high availability
  • Experience in supporting DevOps Methodologies
  • Monitoring and Observability tools
  • Single Sign-on
  • IIS support
