Senior Network Engineer – Cisco ASAv Specialist

Overview

We are urgently looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support one of our clients in Brussels. The focus of this assignment is to analyze and remediate vulnerabilities within their existing Cisco ASAv environment.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role requiring expertise in Cisco ASAv, VPN security, and integration with Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).

Responsibilities

• Analyze the current Cisco ASAv setup for vulnerabilities and propose corrective actions
• Separate the AnyConnect VPN from the administrative portal, restricting management access to internal networks only
• Strengthen authentication processes using SAML with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Prepare and apply relevant patches and firmware updates
• Replace self-signed certificates with validated, trusted certificates
• Create comprehensive and up-to-date documentation and architecture diagrams

Required Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a network engineer in complex environments
• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco ASAv, VPN configuration, and network security
• Hands-on experience with SAML integration and Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
• Familiarity with certificate management and patching best practices
• Strong analytical mindset and a proactive, hands-on attitude
• Skilled in producing clear documentation and architecture overviews
