We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied working student occupation in the area of deep learning for automated driving perception. In automated driving state of the art deep neural networks (DNNs) are used for perception tasks. Methods that improve robustness and reliability of such DNNs are important to ensure that they are suitable for series production.

We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied working student occupation in the area of deep learning for automated driving perception. In automated driving state of the art deep neural networks (DNNs) are used for perception tasks. Methods that improve robustness and reliability of such DNNs are important to ensure that they are suitable for series production.
What awaits you?
- In your new role you will evaluate and work on multi modal sensor fusion approaches. Evaluations are about performance, robustification, uncertainty estimation and interpretability.
- You will have a close collaboration in a team within the BMW research department.
- Furthermore, you work with state of the art DNNs.
- To explore research approaches to robustness and reliability of DNNs rounds off your role.
- Studies in Information Technology or another relevant field.
- Strong knowledge in machine learning.
- Good programming skills.
- Proficiency with Python and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch).
- Good English skills.
