Senior Software Engineer – High-Tech Systems

As a Senior Software Engineer in a dynamic project-based environment, you’ll contribute to the development of complex and scalable high-tech systems. You'll work in a hybrid setting—partly from a central office, partly remote, and partly on-site with clients.

What You’ll Do

Your work will span a variety of software development tasks including:

• Developing interfaces to enable seamless communication and data transfer between software components.
• Implementing algorithms and low-level drivers.
• Resolving software issues and developing graphical UI applications.
• Writing unit tests using frameworks such as GMock and working within simulated environments and automated test setups.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and verify software subsystems, modules, and components.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues.
• Write clean, structured, and maintainable code.
• Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and architecture/design discussions.
• Act as a technical sounding board for team members and stakeholders.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Grow into additional responsibilities in line with your ambitions and professional development.

Who You Are

• You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
• You bring at least 6 years of experience in high-tech software development, primarily using C++.
• You have working knowledge of Python and C, and are comfortable with OOP, UML, design patterns, and agile practices such as TDD/BDD.
• You communicate fluently in English (Dutch is a plus).
