About the role

As a Substrate Developer at Trace Labs, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and maintaining NeuroWeb, a tailored L1 blockchain innovation hub for the OriginTrail Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG), secured by Polkadot and governed by the OriginTrail community. 

You will collaborate closely with our blockchain development team to implement and optimize core NeuroWeb blockchain node software, blockchain infrastructure, and tooling, as well as integrate new functionalities to NeuroWeb aligned with OriginTrail's vision.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience as a blockchain developer or in a similar role, with expertise in the Polkadot ecosystem
• A solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, the Substrate framework, smart contract development, and decentralized application architecture
• Proficiency in Rust 
• Experience with decentralized storage solutions, IPFS, and other distributed ledger technologies
• Understanding the OriginTrail ecosystem and technologies as described in the documentation and white paper
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and different audiences
• Strong English language proficiency

Nice to have:

• Understanding of OriginTrail technologies for decentralized data management.
• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects or active participation in blockchain communities
• Hands-on experience using the Substrate framework
• Knowledge of polkadot.js, Polkadot-API, Substrate framework, XCM, and other Substrate development tools
• Familiarity with Web3 technologies related to AI
• Experience using Solidity and the EVM
• Fundamental understanding of Semantic Web technologies for data processing
• Understanding distributed systems
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or DigitalOcean for AI deployment
• Interest in participating in blockchain and Web3 communities for collaboration and learning
