We are seeking an experienced and visionary Technology Solution Architect – BSS/OSS Domain to join our Technology Strategy and Architecture team within Ooredoo’s Technology Business Unit. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end, technically sound, operationally stable, and architecturally aligned solutions across a wide portfolio of enterprise and network applications.

Roles & responsibilities

•       As Technology Solution Architect – BSS/OSS Domain in the Technology BU Technology Strategy and Architecture Department, your role is to be responsible to create viable, technically qualified, operationally stable and architecturally fit and aligned solutions across wide variety of Ooredoo Applications to serve objectives of Ooredoo transformation projects, focusing on enabling BSS-OSS Domain.  

•       As BSS-OSS Solution Architect, you will be responsible for building the E2E business solutions and harvesting solution artefacts, update Architecture repository across the technology landscape.

•       You shall work effectively as part of Technology Architecture Team, to understand, complement, influence and guide the proposed solutions to achieve improved business outcomes and operations enhancements by continuously applying Architecture best practices and methodology.

•       You are an expert on BSS-OSS technology layer capabilities backed up by experience on delivering similar solutions in other projects. You have solid expertise and understanding of CRM, Sales, CVM, CPQ, Product Catalog, Order management, subscription management, inventory management, service order, provisioning, mediation, logical inventory management solution areas, which typically are under Architecture modernization programs for Telcos.  

•       You would work as OSS Architect across multiple vendors, in multi-cultural, agile and fastpaced environment to deliver business results and lead the Ooredoo 5G Architecture track across multiple stakeholders to evolve Ooredoo transformation objectives.  

•       You are an experienced professional with strong communications, collaboration, negotiations and stakeholder management skills and able to demonstrate thought leadership for business and digital transformation.

Main responsibilities shall include: 

•       Assess and qualify demands from various Business Units within Ooredoo -especially Analytics stakeholder, in terms of business outcomes and business benefits expected, improving the alignment of the project requirements with overall business and technology strategies, roadmap, priorities, capabilities and resources.

•       Probe for information, listen to information, influence people, facilitate consensus building, synthesize and translate ideas into actionable key solution capabilities expected. Identify use or purpose, constraints, risks and participate in the discovery and documentation of the customer's business scenarios that are driving the solution.

•       Analyse and understand Business and Technology Strategies, Objectives and Requirements and translate them into actionable Solutions and delivery plans that are aligned across multiple delivery parties and stakeholder priorities.  

•       Define and analyse various Solution designs, advise about solution approach, appreciate pros and cons, out of box Solution fitment and suggest practicable delivery options.

•       Contribute to review and impact analysis of the current IT Applications – BSS-OSS Domain focused & surround (BSS/OSS) environment integrations to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement, especially for alignment to architectural guidelines and long-term strategies.

•       Own and detail Delivery decisions based on stakeholder decisions, priorities and interdependencies and maintain Business delivery decision register. Also responsible to socialize solution and delivery decisions with stakeholders.

•       Work closely with project and requirement & process management teams, technology and business stakeholders to align objectives and expectations, to plan for improvements or enhancements, to identify and mitigate risks and to build workable business models.  

•       Oversee BSS-OSS Domain Transformations especially Ericsson, Nokia, Netcracker, Oracle stack based, projects delivered by Vendor SI & internal Ooredoo teams, govern requirements gathered, processes outlined, review End-End Solution, track Requirements traceability matrix, ensure solution mapping is comprehensive, and deliverables are aligned overall to meet Project objective. DevOps adoption, Data Governance participation & expansion of CI-CD footprint for SI rollout –experience will be desirable in BSS-OSS Domain.  

•       Manage and support to achieve traceability of requirements across the project lifecycle from initiator, architecture, to proposed solution and then further to design, build, test and deploy.  

•       Support Architects in Tendering processes, to enable Capability Building, Technology and Solution Selections.

Minimum Experience and Essential Knowledge 

•       Minimum 15 years of work experience of which minimum 10 years in the OSS Solution & Telecom Architecture Domain.

•       Minimum 5 years of qualified experience on the requested role of Technology OSS Solution Architect with proven track record demonstrating Solution leadership and ability to define and implement complex information technology and/or digital transformation initiatives within the OSS Architecture Domain  

•       Ability to demonstrate subject matter expert level expertise in Solution Architecture & Design including but not limited to following areas:  o Solution Architecture and Analysis Practice o OSS and IT Operating Model and Processes and Applications  o Business and Information Systems Architecture and Design o Cloud Solutions and Hybrid Integration  o OSS Domain Solution Architecture and Technologies, at least some of which include:  

o  Customer Care, Order Management, CPQ, Product Catalog, Billing & Charging – Mainly Oracle & Ericsson systems.

o  Netcracker BSS systems for customer care, onboarding, quotation, order management, billing, real-time charging (IN Platforms).

o  CVM, Loyalty, Campaign Solutions – Customer value management, Loyalty, Campaign solutions – Comviva, Nokia, Flytext stack systems.

o  Nokia solution stack for fulfilment, assurance, service order, inventory etc.

o  Ericsson solution stacks for mediation, provisioning, assurance, and inventory

(physical and logical) of Telco network assets (2G,3G,4G,5G) o Excellent interpersonal, leadership, managerial, teamwork, negotiation, logical analysis, stakeholder and risk management skills • Past experience working with Enterprise Architecture Tools (E.g. Orbus iServer or Orbus Infinity) and Archimate and UML Modeling and/or working as member of Architecture Review Board (ARB) or Solution Review Board (SRB) in the role of an Architect is considered a plus

o  Excellent oral and written communications in English is a must, Arabic is considered a plus

o  Good understanding on Information Technology, IT Systems, IT Solution Design Practices to fluently liaise between Business and Technology and effectively carry out Solution Design related work.

•       Ability to build capability on information systems design and lead teams to deliver results.

•       Ability to work well under pressure and to work both independently as well as with others.

•       Ability to work in dynamic and challenging environment and support to manage multiple parallel complex initiatives.

•       Ability to be structured, organized and have strong time-management skills with proven track record on delivering results.

•       Ability to think out of the box, to Innovative and be creative thinker.

•       Cultural awareness and experience working in Middle East and/or in Qatar and understanding of Middle East/Qatar market dynamics is considered a plus.
