  1. AWS Cloud Infrastructure Management:
  • Administer and maintain AWS environments, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, and CloudWatch, to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure management tasks using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Ansible.
  • Monitor AWS resources and services continuously to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in AWS infrastructure quickly to minimize service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with development teams to provision AWS resources required for new projects and applications.
  1. RHEL System Administration:
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems across cloud environments.
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching, updates, and security hardening, to ensure RHEL systems are secure and performing optimally.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues across RHEL servers, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of RHEL servers with other infrastructure and cloud-based resources.
  1. Operations Support and Incident Management:
  • Provide 24/7 operational support for cloud and RHEL environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime.
  • Respond to and resolve operational incidents, performance issues, and service outages in a timely manner.
  • Perform root cause analysis on incidents to identify long-term fixes and avoid recurrence.
  • Assist in creating and updating documentation for operational procedures, incident response, and system configurations.
  • Handle escalated support issues related to AWS and RHEL infrastructure.
  1. Automation and Process Optimization:
  • Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline manual tasks, improve operational efficiency, and enhance scalability.
  • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Work with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment and configuration management for both AWS and on-premises systems.
  1. Monitoring and Performance Optimization:
  • Maintain monitoring solutions (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, Prometheus) to track system performance, health, and resource utilization.
  • Identify and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to improve system efficiency.
  • Regularly review AWS resource utilization and recommend adjustments to optimize cost without compromising performance.
  1. Security and Compliance:
  • Implement AWS security best practices, including managing IAM roles and policies, configuring firewalls and VPNs, and securing sensitive data.
  • Maintain security and compliance standards for both AWS and RHEL systems, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments of cloud environments and RHEL systems.
  1. Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery:
  • Ensure data backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place and are being followed for both cloud and on-premises systems.
  • Perform regular tests of backup and recovery processes to ensure business continuity in the event of a failure.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, ensuring systems can be quickly restored in the event of a system outage or disaster.
