IT Systems Administrator

Taminco Finland Oy is a subsidiary of Eastman Chemical Company based in Oulu, Finland. The Oulu site was established in 1952 and Eastman acquired it in 2014 from Kemira plc. The key products produced are formic acid & derivates and formamide. The products are found in various applications in industries such as food, leather, rubber, textile, chemical additives, pharma, and in plastic and silage additives.

We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator for Eastman (Taminco Finland Oy) to our Oulu Laanila location. Your main responsibility is to configure, maintain and support a company's computers, servers, networks, enterprise software and security systems. In addition to daily support, you will serve as an expert in IT related investment projects, managing the preliminary planning and budgeting of small investments according to processes. Good interpersonal skills and effective collaboration with our site stakeholders are essential for success in this role.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining Eastman's network and installing new devices
• Data center maintenance: new installations, connections, and basic configuration tasks (routers, switches, servers)
• Managing the network environment, understanding various fiber optic types and their connectors
• Keeping critical documentation updated
• Collaborating with critical area operators and system suppliers
• Proficiency in Windows 10 / Windows 11 / Windows Server
• Knowledge of Office 365 and Office 2016
• Management of directory permissions
• Managing Eastman's ticketing system and Asset Management, Service Now
• Executing IT projects
• Customer service skills and IT support
• Co-operation and reporting to Eastman global IT team
  
  

Requirements for the Position:

• Relevant (BSc/MSc) education degree
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Commitment to Eastman's safety regulations
• Proficiency in Finnish and English
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Management of print server environments and print queues
• VMware expertise, management of virtual environments and machines
• General knowledge of cybersecurity
• Intune, mobile device management and troubleshooting
• Configuration of office network switches (Cisco) and factory network switches from HP
• Abloy OS master user, access control/management
• Master user of the Abloy Cliq system
• Familiarity with fiber optic cabling
• McAfee ePO environment, management of antivirus solutions. Handling incidents and new installations
• Backup technologies
