A fast-growing scale-up in Eindhoven is searching for a Senior Front-end Developer who’s excited by clean code, product ownership, and turning technical complexity into intuitive user experiences.

Their platform? A smart, AI-powered Energy Management System (EMS) that helps businesses across Europe cut energy costs, reduce emissions, and stay in control of real-time energy flows. As the product scales, they’re doubling down on user experience—and they need someone to lead that mission on the front-end side.

What’s the role all about?

The team is looking for someone who can take charge of front-end development using React, TypeScript, and modern tooling. You’ll be building sleek, responsive interfaces and helping translate complex energy data into clean, simple dashboards that users genuinely enjoy working with.

Expect to work closely with back-end developers, data scientists, and the ops team—this is a very collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

• Leading front-end development and UI architecture decisions
• Building and maintaining a modern component library
• Creating responsive, accessible, and visually appealing user interfaces
• Making sure code is clean, scalable, and well-tested
• Collaborating with UX and product to shape the overall user experience
• Contributing to the growth of the dev team through coaching and mentorship

Must-haves:

✔️ 5+ years of front-end development experience

✔️ Strong React + TypeScript skills

✔️ UX-focused mindset and experience building responsive UIs

✔️ Based in the Netherlands and open to regular travel to Eindhoven

✔️ Comfortable collaborating across disciplines and communicating clearly

✔️ Bachelor’s or Master’s level education

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with Node.js, Next.js, GitLab CI/CD, or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of clean code practices and design systems
• Previous mentorship or leadership experience
• A love for simplifying technical problems
