The Portland Trail Blazers are looking to add a talented Full Stack Developer to our Basketball Operations team that will help our team analyze and communicate valuable insights in order to reach our goal of building a championship-level NBA organization.
As our Full Stack Developer , you contribute to the development of internal tools and systems that automate, streamline, and enhance workflows, providing timely access to key insights across all areas of Basketball Operations, including the front office and coaching staff. This role sits within our Research & Development department.
Full-time remote candidates will be considered

As our Full Stack Developer , you contribute to the development of internal tools and systems that automate, streamline, and enhance workflows, providing timely access to key insights across all areas of Basketball Operations, including the front office and coaching staff. This role sits within our Research & Development department.
Full-time remote candidates will be considered
DAY-TO-DAY:
- Design and develop complex, data-centric web applications and tools that deliver actionable insights to decision-makers within Basketball Operations.
- Follow industry best practices for usability, performance, and collaborative software development.
- Proactively identify creative workflows and processes that could benefit from automation or digital solutions.
- Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional stakeholders to define and implement features.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to improve software performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- A st rong communicat or with excellent collaboration skills
- Eager to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
- A self-starter attitude with a problem-solving mindset
- Experience in backend development and an understanding of RESTful API concepts
- Frontend development experience using React or other modern frameworks, with a working knowledge of UI/UX principles and web design best practices
- Proficient in SQL and relational database concepts
- Familiar with version control systems, such as Git, and comfortable working in a collaborative coding environment
- Experience with Python as a backend scripting language and tools like FastAPI , SQLAlchemy , and Pandas
- React with TypeScript and frontend libraries such as Material-UI and Storybook.js
- Interest in data visualization, design, UI/UX, and implementing robust, data-rich interfaces
- Experience deploying and managing applications in AWS or other cloud environments
- A passion for sports— especially basketball and the NBA
