Lead Instrument and Control engineer – for offshore who can support the project from Design stage until commissioning and handover.
Support a critical offshore oil & gas project focused on cyber security hardening of third-party control systems and full implementation of an alarm management system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Control Systems, Electronics, or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Control, including offshore oil & gas projects.
- Deep understanding of Honeywell DCS/ESD/FGS systems and third-party interfaces.
- Familiarity with IEC 62443, IEC 62682, EEMUA 191, Shell DEPs, and QP/ICSS cybersecurity guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and verify FEED documents; support and review detailed design development for instrumentation and control systems.
- Review specifications, loop diagrams, I/O lists, C&E matrices, and instrumentation hook-up drawings.
- Provide technical leadership for site surveys, system studies, and design finalization.
- Coordinate with OEMs for system-specific modifications, cybersecurity upgrades, and integration into Honeywell ICS.
- Review and validate OEM deliverables (System Architecture, FDS, BOMs)
- Supervise FAT, I-FAT, SAT, and commissioning for all I&C systems.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity hardening of third-party nodes.
- Oversee integration of firewalls, domain controllers, WSUS patch management, SIEM, and AV systems into the I&C ecosystem.
- Ensure alignment of alarm priorities, MADB preparation, and final reporting.
- Provide inputs for Alarm Management Philosophy and ensure effective system integration.
- Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and handover phases.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC and construction teams to ensure work is completed per design and standards.
- Witness SATs and contribute to close-out documentation and as-built drawings
Will require periodic offshore visits and site stays.
