React Native Development Team Lead

We are searching for an experienced Lead React Native Developer to oversee the development and delivery of a cutting-edge mobile product for our client. In this leadership role, you will drive exceptional code quality, reliable architecture, and efficient teamwork while mentoring a high-performing mobile team.

Responsibilities


  • Play a central role as the Development Lead for the Mobile team
  • Set and enforce high standards of code quality across the team
  • Coordinate cross-team development activities with efficiency
  • Participate in planning with Product Owners (POs), Business Analysts (BAs), and the development team
  • Assess team capacity, prioritize workflows, and delegate tasks effectively
  • Partner with Mobile Architect to shape architecture within the React Native ecosystem
  • Support recruitment efforts, including pre-screening and interviewing candidates
  • Translate API specifications into clean, responsive UI implementation
  • Conduct peer code reviews and unit testing to ensure robust software development
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of mobile applications using React Native as a cross-platform framework


Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience in React Native development
  • 3+ years of experience building iOS and Android mobile applications
  • Strong leadership skills with proven experience leading cross-functional or front-end teams
  • Knowledge of design patterns and core concepts in mobile development
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (SCRUM)
  • Expertise in code review processes and defining release strategies
  • Strong capabilities in tools from the React Native ecosystem, including quality tools
  • Advanced knowledge in profiling, debugging, and the use of mobile testing frameworks like Unit and e2e testing
  • Background in solving challenging and complex issues with a results-driven approach
  • Presentation abilities to communicate technical "whys" with clarity
  • Strong work ethic and ownership mindset toward deliverables
  • Ability to formulate and implement proactive value-delivery strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with English proficiency at a B2 level or higher


Nice to have


  • Experience working with the Carbon design system
  • Background in .NET Core and working with databases
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies such as Azure
