What The Role Is

ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore’s internal security and stability. For over 70 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. You will join a technically competent team, playing a vital role in planning, design, project implementation, operations and support of communication infrastructures and systems that serve the entire Department.

You will be developing connectivity and integration concepts and solutions in the mobile domain. You are expected to build and operate a vast array of mobile devices, platforms and systems to deliver innovative services to receive, manage and process information. In addition, you will collaborate with security experts to ensure design and practices are in place and in compliance with security policies.

What You Will Be Working On

• Manage the lifecycle of communication infrastructure and systems; from planning, design, implementation, operation and renewal
• Building and maintaining good rapport with industry solution providers and be conversant in their products and solutions
• Study and recommend innovative solutions either to enhance our operation capabilities, processes or security
• Drive the operating and maintenance activities and performance metrics as well as to coordinate with vendors for compliance and improvement
  
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Degree in Engineering, Computing, IT-related field of study or equivalent competencies
• Knowledge or experience in various Telecommunication systems, Networking, Mobile domain (such as IoT, Android OS, etc) will be at an added advantage
• Team player with positive attitude and commitment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal and organising skills
• Good communication and writing skills
