Information Security Specialist (Oil & Gas Industry Focus)

About The Role

We are seeking an Information Security Specialist with proven experience in the oil and gas sector to protect critical energy infrastructure, operational technology (OT), and industrial control systems (ICS). The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity challenges unique to oil and gas operations, including securing SCADA systems, drilling platforms, refineries, and pipeline networks.

Mandatory Qualifications

• 5+ years of cybersecurity experience with at least 3 years in the oil and gas industry.
• Hands-on expertise in securing OT/ICS environments (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider Electric systems).
• Certifications such as GISCP, GICSP, CISSP, or ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert.
• Proficiency in tools like Nozomi Networks, Claroty, Tenable.ot, or Dragos for OT threat detection.
• Strong knowledge of pipeline security, drilling operations, or refinery cybersecurity challenges.
• Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure) for oilfield data analytics and IoT sensor networks.
• Ability to travel to remote sites (e.g., offshore rigs, pipelines) for security assessments.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with subsea infrastructure security or LNG terminal operations.
• Knowledge of wireless communication vulnerabilities in remote oilfield environments.
• Background in industrial incident response or forensic analysis for OT breaches.
