This is a 6-month contract with possibility of extension, 40 hours/ week. No C2C Engagements. No visa sponsorship/ visa transfer available.

About the Ads Data Science Team:

The Ads Data Science team at Reddit leverages data to maximize advertiser value through robust data foundations, meaningful metrics, and strategic insights driven by experimentation and advanced data science methods.

We tackle a wide array of complex challenges across ads targeting, relevance modeling, auction optimization, measurement, and user experience. Our team is highly collaborative and passionate—bringing together data scientists and engineers who continuously push the boundaries of what's possible using statistical modeling and machine learning.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Scientist to join our growing Ads Data Science team. In this role, you'll help improve adoption and performance of Reddit’s advertising platform through data-driven insights and innovative DS solutions. You'll work cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, and fellow data scientists to uncover opportunities, define metrics, and develop impactful solutions at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and apply full-stack DS solutions to improve advertiser experience and platform performance
• Analyze large-scale datasets (billions of rows) to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and align on direction
• Develop ML models and data science methods for anomaly detection, prediction, and pattern recognition
• Write complex SQL queries and work with large-scale data systems (big data, data orchestration pipelines)
• Translate problems into data solutions with strong product intuition and a user-centric mindset
• Communicate findings clearly and effectively across technical and non-technical audiences
• Onboard quickly and contribute early by understanding context, proposing ideas, and aligning on priorities
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong experience with SQL and Python
• Proven ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
• Fast onboarding and sharp problem-solving skills
• Exceptional product sense with a data-driven, product-focused approach
• Experience working cross-functionally with PMs, engineers, and designers
• Ability to understand ambiguous problems and translate them into well-defined data science tasks
• Comfortable owning direction and driving impact end-to-end
• Hands-on experience across the full data science stack: SQL, Python, data orchestration, and large-scale datasets
