Platform Engineer

The company is a team of around 180 dedicated professionals supporting Swiss universities, research institutions and essential infrastructure organisations in their digital transformation. Through innovative IT solutions, secure infrastructures, expert advice and community networking, they enable their customers to harness the benefits of digitalisation efficiently and effectively.

Tasks

• Develop, maintain and scale their observability platform and Kubernetes cluster.
• Design, build and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to enhance application development, testing, deployment and release processes.
• Transition traditional services to cloud-native deployments.
• Collaborate closely with application teams to facilitate the onboarding and migration of workloads to cloud-native solutions.

Profile

• Fluent in English (C1+); German is an added advantage.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes and GitOps, with experience in building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficient in working with observability platforms (e.g., Prometheus, Thanos, Loki, Grafana) for infrastructure and application metrics, and dashboard visualization.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts.
• Advanced Unix/Linux knowledge.
• Skilled in programming languages such as Python and Bash scripting.
