As a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in transitioning our customer's build pipelines and source code repositories to GitHub Enterprise. You will be responsible for migrating source code repositories from various platforms such as Bitbucket, Subversion, CVS, and GitLab to GitHub Enterprise. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring a smooth migration process, optimising workflows and integrating GitHub with existing tools and systems.
Key responsibilities:Develop and implement migration strategies to transition projects and repositories to GitHubCollaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop migration plansPerform hands-on repository migrations, including codebase, issues, documentation and CI/CD pipeline configurationsEnsure seamless integration of GitHub with existing tools and workflowsOptimise GitHub workflows and CI/CD pipelines for performance, security and scalabilityProvide technical guidance and support during the migration processTroubleshoot and resolve issues related to repository migration and integrationDocument processes, configurations and best practicesStay updated with the latest features and developments in GitHub and associated DevOps tools
Required skills & experience:Ability and experience of acting as a Lead EngineerProven experience as a Lead AWS DevOps Engineer, Source Code Manager or similar role with hands-on GitHub implementationStrong proficiency with GitHub and Git version controlExperience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash)Understanding of containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration abilitiesIdeally you will have some experience or exposure with EKS Harness, Kubernetes, Jenkins/Cloudbees, Terraform, Puppet, Rspec, Black Duck, SonarQube, Artifactory
