Cisco Network Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Cisco Network Engineer to join our client's team in Dublin for a 6-month daily rate contract. The ideal candidate will have in-depth Cisco networking experience, holding at least a CCNP certification. This role is hybrid model.

Role Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Cisco-based network infrastructure solutions according to industry best practices.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other networking devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control lists (ACLs), ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.
• Monitor network performance and conduct regular performance tuning to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations and changes.
• Respond to network-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance requirements related to network infrastructure and security.

Role Requirements:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, and protocols.
• Previous Experience in Level 2 and level 3 networking roles.
• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supporting complex Cisco-based network solutions in enterprise environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse and resolve network issues effectively.
• Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices, including experience in implementing security measures within Cisco environments.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining detailed network documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interface with various stakeholders.

Education Requirements

• Minimum CCNP Certified
