Responsibilities
Job Description
- Empower and enable the engineering teams to deliver outstanding results and build quality products, with accountability over the product quality, security, and performance;
- Help shape and improve the product development process, representing engineering by communicating technical constraints, opportunities, and solutions;
- Conduct regular training and coaching engagements;
- Build and maintain a culture of excellence, mentorship, and collaboration;
- Identify hiring needs, training and career progressions
- Ensure domains follow the best engineering practices, including the reliability and performance of all internal systems
- Directly manage the relationship with Product and Business as main stakeholders in the domain
- 5-7 years or more of experience in software development, supporting the design and development of large-scale, distributed software applications - OOP and SOLID principles
- 5 years or more in managing engineering teams doing product development
- Strong leadership qualities
- Extensive experience with software development processes and agile methodologies
- Leadership abilities with a strategic mindset
- Excellent management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated and detail-oriented individual
- Ability to understand existing codebase and expand to new product requirements
- English intermediate (B1)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously in a team environment
- Prior knowledge of PHP 7+, Laravel, Symfony, and FuelPHP knowledge is a plus
- Experience in microservices is a big plus
