About the role:

As a Middle Frontend Developer, you'll become a part of a cross-functional development team engineering experiences of tomorrow. You will work as part of a cross-functional team under the guidance of our internal Frontend Team Lead. This is a hands-on role where you’ll contribute to both greenfield development and iterative enhancements of existing web assets. You will collaborate closely with backend, product, QA, and marketing teams to deliver best-in-class web experiences.

Our client is a leading digital player in the travel documentation and government services sector, managing several high-visibility websites under the “Passports” project. The digital team is responsible for delivering highly stable, secure, and high-performing web experiences to users around the globe.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain frontend features for new and existing Passport websites using Next.js and React
• Translate modern marketing designs into responsive and high-converting web interfaces
• Optimize frontend performance, scalability, and cross-browser/device compatibility
• Collaborate with UI/UX, QA, Product, and Backend teams in an Agile environment
• Contribute to regular code reviews and write clean, reusable, well-documented code
• Participate in bug fixing, issue resolution, and ongoing frontend architecture improvements

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in frontend development
• Proficiency in React and Next.js, with strong command of TypeScript
• Solid understanding of modular architecture, reusable components, and design patterns (including SOLID principles)
• Experience with NPM for package management and performance optimization
• Familiarity with frontend testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Jest, Testing Library)
• Hands-on experience with HTML/CSS (including SASS, Tailwind, and BEM)
• Understanding of AWS infrastructure and deployment best practices
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows

Desirable:

• Exposure to performance optimization techniques for frontend apps
• Experience working closely with UI/UX teams on high-traffic, design-centric platforms
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes
• Comfortable working in a distributed, multicultural team setting

Personal skills:

• Native or fluent Spanish is required (spoken and written)
• Working proficiency in English is a plus (for documentation and collaboration)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Proactive, self-motivated, and goal-oriented mindset
