Role Overview

Seeking a Senior Backend Developer to lead the development of scalable, secure backend systems and APIs. This is a hands-on role focused on Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS, with opportunities to shape architecture and own end-to-end development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services with Node.js (Express.js) and MongoDB
• Design and optimise scalable APIs
• Implement secure authentication (JWT/OAuth)
• Optimise database performance and queries
• Deploy and manage infrastructure on AWS
• Contribute to system architecture (microservices/serverless)
• Collaborate cross-functionally and take full ownership of deliverables

Requirements

• 8–10 years of backend development experience
• Deep expertise in Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB
• Strong understanding of API design, security, and performance tuning
• Experience with AWS services and infrastructure
• Familiarity with microservices or serverless patterns
• Startup/product experience preferred
• Independent, hands-on, and execution-focused
