Control System Field Service Engineer - Latvia Salary: - €Excellent + Bonus

We’re supporting our client in the search for a skilled Control System Field Service Engineer to join their expanding grid automation team in Latvia.

This role involves commissioning, validation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of substation control systems across Latvia and Central Europe. You’ll be working closely with customers in a hands-on, technical, field-based role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Commission and validate substation control systems, including SCADA, HMI, networking, and cybersecurity components.
• Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and support on-site commissioning.
• Conduct diagnostics, maintenance, and emergency support at customer substations.
• Deliver technical support and training both in-classroom and on-site.
• Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
• Coordinate schedules and communicate requirements with project and service teams.
• Provide field-based feedback to engineering, sales, and tendering teams.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in substation automation or control systems (11kV to 400kV).
• Experience with protection relays and automation platforms preferred.
• Proficiency in SCADA/DCS systems, HMI validation, and communication protocols (IEC 101/104, IEC 61850).
• Strong knowledge of OT networking and cybersecurity best practices.
• Hands-on experience with functional and integration testing.
• Fluent in Latvian and English.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively across Latvia and Central Europe
