The Software Team​ at Smartex is committed to pushing the boundaries of technology to create innovative solutions for the textile industry. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-Level React Native Developer (Android-only) to join our squad and drive new feature development across three flagship mobile apps: a Textile AI Inspection GUI for Knitting & Inspection machines, an Installation Assistant for system setup, and Loop, our end-to-end textile traceability app. If you love crafting seamless user experiences, optimizing for performance, and working in a true Scrum environment alongside Backend, DevOps, and Product Design, we’d love to hear from you.

👇Responsibilities

• Feature Development & Architecture: Design and implement scalable, maintainable React Native components and screens for Android; translate UX/UI designs into buttery-smooth, production-ready code.
• Performance & Stability: Own app health metrics—crash-free rates and performance SLAs—and proactively debug and optimize UI/JS thread performance. Leverage Sentry or Firebase for error reporting and observability (nice-to-have).
• Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner daily with Backend (Node.js/APIs) on data contracts and state management. Integrate with existing CI/CD pipelines alongside DevOps. Collaborate closely with Product Design to refine UX, polish visuals, and iterate on prototypes.
• Quality Assurance: Write and maintain unit and integration tests (Jest, Detox). Lead code reviews, enforce SOLID principles, and mentor junior developers.
• Continuous Improvement: Scout and adopt cutting-edge libraries, tools, and architectural patterns to boost velocity and code quality. Contribute actively to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

🛠️ Skills & Experience

• 2–4 years’ hands-on React Native (Android) development in production environments.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native paradigms (hooks, context, Redux/MobX).
• Strong Git, Agile/Scrum, and code review discipline.
• Fluent English—spoken and written.
• Metrics-driven mindset: ownership of delivery cadence, crash-free rates, and performance targets.
• Nice-to-have:
• Experience with Kotlin and creating React Native Modules
• Experience with Sentry or Firebase,
• Experience with observability tools (ELK, Grafana)
