About The Role

We are looking for a talented and passionate Senior UX designer with a strong UX portfolio to join the team in Barcelona or Madrid, and help to build one of the best renewable energy data platforms in the marketplace. You will be fully integrated with the product team (product managers) and development team (product owners, technical leads and developers). You’ll help the teams understand user needs and run research sessions to capture customer insights based on product team goals and objectives. You’ll play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products. You’ll work with stakeholders across functions and levels and have impact at all stages of product development.

Scope Of Responsibilities

  • Work on the design documentation, information architecture, user flows, user journey mapping, user testing, user interviews and blueprint service design, metrics analysis and other relevant UX deliverables,
  • Create user-centric, engaging, usable, and effective interaction and visual design solutions that work to achieve customers goals and delight,
  • Define consistent UI components and interfaces based on guidelines,
  • Present design alternatives and communicate rationale and trade-offs,
  • Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences, mindful of business requirements,
  • Share your work and be open to collaborative and constructive feedback,
  • Proactively engage with the Product Owners and UX lead regularly,
  • Hands-on creative problem-solving in a multicultural and talented team in a fast paced, dynamic, agile and international environment,
  • Work with UX Designers, Product Managers, Engineers and other stakeholders to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

About You

To be successful in this role you need to have:

  • 5 or more years working in the field of UX UI design, gained through employment of freelance cooperation,
  • Experience working in a technical B2B product, preferably heavy on data and with complex interface,
  • Portfolio with strong UX work and well-executed designs that display a thorough understanding of interaction design principles,
  • End-to-end product design experience,
  • Bachelor’s degree in design or related studies,
  • Knowledge of design principles, design thinking process, usability, accessibility, UX research and UX writing,
  • Experience with UXUI tools (Balsamiq, Figma, Sketch, Miro, Maze, Userzoom or any other wireframing or prototyping tool),
  • Basic UI design and UX writing knowledge,
  • Experience with agile and design sprint methodologies,
  • Excellent English communication skills.

Nice To Have

  • Spanish language skills,
  • UX and UI design certification,
  • UI design skills, design systems, responsiveness and front-end knowledge,
  • Experience with renewable energy and data visualization.
