Project Manager

Job Description Summary

This position is responsible for the successful delivery of customer-related equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects. The role includes accountability for project profit and loss, as well as ensuring customer satisfaction. This person will manage project-related activities and resources, directly impacting departmental operations. The position requires execution within standard business procedures and allows limited autonomy with some decision-making, usually under guidance.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects from handover or kick-off to closure, ensuring full compliance with technical and commercial requirements
• Track and report key project performance indicators such as sales, margin, delivery timelines, invoicing, and cash collection
• Maintain strong communication with all internal departments, drive necessary actions, and implement recovery plans when needed
• Actively engage with customers, partners, contractors, and consultants
• Identify and report all project-related risks and opportunities in a timely manner
• Understand and fulfill all obligations from the customer, consortium, and third parties
• Ensure contract milestones are achieved on time to avoid or minimize any penalties
• Focus on achieving high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of customer documentation, and follow up for necessary approvals
• Maintain high-quality data in project execution and monitoring tools
• Be aware of and comply with the company’s and local EHS (environment, health, and safety) policies and regulations, this person is expected to demonstrate exemplary behavior in EHS and work together with the EHS team to take preventive and corrective actions to avoid accidents, incidents, or environmental harm
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree of an engineering discipline from an accredited university
• Minimum 2 years of experience in project management area
• Comfortable in hybrid working conditions
• Strong oral and written English language skills
• Ability to live in Istanbul or Kocaeli
  
  

Desired Characteristics

• Preferably advanced French language skills
• Excellent project management and team coordination skills preferred
• Preferably deep knowledge of project management in the energy sector
• Preferably bachelor’s degree in electrical (preferable), Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems
• Ability to document, plan, market and execute programs
