What we are looking for

We are looking for a product designer who will be in charge of defining and designing our core product. You will work closely with other product designers, product managers, and developers in building and shaping a product that users love and can rely on.

To succeed in this role you will need to be a self-starter, think in solutions and not problems, be a team player, and have a “can do” attitude. You will be required to demonstrate strong product design fluency in UI, UX, visuals, and user research. 

This role will be challenging, but extremely rewarding -- you will have outsized ownership and impact on our product direction and you will be putting in the foundations of our design systems in place. Our team is invested in building the best product for our customers, and we will make every effort to provide you with a setup that spawns great creativity, innovation, and reward. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct product discovery research to shape the product direction
• Sketch, prototype and test lean designs that identify the highest priority pain points for new and existing users
• Design products that deliver consistently delightful user experience, with a strong emphasis on ease of use
• Work across cross-functional teams to bring concepts from ideation to execution
• Develop customer empathy through user interviews and usability testing, and translate user needs into design decisions
• Craft a culture of design excellence, potentially growing and leading a larger design team in the future

Qualifications

• 3+ years of design experience at a tech, product-driven company (SaaS / B2B is a plus)
• Excellent visual and interaction design skills
• Able to design simple and elegant solutions to complex problems
• Affinity for user empathy, user research and user-centric design
• Entrepreneurial, quick learner, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment
• Hold yourself to the highest standards of quality
• Knowledge of frontend skills -- HTML, CSS, Javacript – is a plus
