About the Role

We’re looking for a driven, thoughtful end-to-end Product Manager to join our growing team at Acorn PLMS. You’ll define and deliver impactful features within our performance learning platform - owning initiatives from inception to delivery. This isn’t just about managing backlogs; it’s about elevating the quality of our thinking and driving impactful Product Development end to end. If you care about user outcomes, sweat the small details that matter, and know how to make smart trade-offs, you’ll thrive here.

You’ll collaborate with product designers, engineers, and cross-functional peers to deeply understand user problems, challenge assumptions, and ship solutions that improve real-world performance. Success in this role means showing real ownership - not waiting for follow-up, but leading the charge with curiosity, critical thinking, and executional excellence.

What We’re Looking For

You’re someone who wants to have impact. You:

  • Own problems deeply and drive them through without needing reminders.
  • Know how to balance polish and pragmatism - you obsess over UX and micro-interactions but also ship iteratively.
  • Are a critical thinker who challenges defaults and surfaces better alternatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement - of the product, the process, the team and yourself, both using AI and otherwise.
  • Work well cross-functionally and rally teams around a compelling product vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define & Deliver: Write high-quality problem and feature definitions; lead solution discovery and execution across the full product lifecycle.
  • UX Leadership: Advocate for clarity, consistency, and usability; review implementation details to ensure polish.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, design, customer, and go-to-market teams to build high-impact features that align with user needs and business goals.
  • Research & Insight: Use data, user research, and feedback to develop a nuanced understanding of user challenges and market dynamics.
  • Trade-offs & Prioritisation: Make smart decisions with incomplete information, balancing short-term delivery with long-term vision.
  • Internal Enablement: Keep teams aligned with well-structured documentation, sprint planning, and updates on what’s shipping and why it matters.

5 Key Capabilities

The best part… we use our Acorn software at Acorn. We believe in the power of our Managers and Staff being aligned on the 5 capabilities needed for each role, and the level that we expect for any given role, using our Acorn AI tool to streamline this consistently across our business. The 5 levels comprise Foundational, Developing, Proficient, Advanced and Expert.

  • Product Strategy and Vision: You understand how your tasks align with broader product and business goals, and you’re keen to learn how strategic decisions are made.
  • Data-Informed Decision-Making: You use data and user insights to guide your decisions and adjust based on performance trends.
  • User Research and Empathy: You conduct research to refine features and enhance the user experience, showing genuine curiosity about user needs.
  • Team Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration: You work confidently with different teams, helping align efforts and contributing to a positive, purpose-driven team environment.
  • Influence and Stakeholder Management: You engage with stakeholders to gather input, resolve issues, and influence outcomes—even without formal authority.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience in product management or a similar role in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Familiarity with Agile product development processes
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a user-first mindset
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and keep delivery on track
  • Clear communicator with solid collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills

Why Join Acorn PLMS?

  • Be part of a fast-growing SaaS company with global ambitions.
  • Learn from experienced product leaders in a collaborative, supportive team.
  • Opportunity to make a real impact on a product used by thousands.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Work in a values-driven team committed to learning, growth, and performance.
