Cisco Network Architect - Day rate

Location: Dublin (Hybrid/On-site)

Job Type: 6 Month Contract minimum (Hybrid 3 days on site 2 days from home)

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Network Cisco Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise-level infrastructure solutions. This role requires deep technical proficiency in Cisco Data Centre networking, including hands-on experience with SDWAN/ Cisco switches and Cisco ACI. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving network architecture strategies, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability across the organisation’s IT landscape.

Experience Required:

• 7+ years of experience in network and infrastructure architecture roles.
• Cisco certified (Enterprise & Data Centre) with hands-on expertise in Cisco networking.
• Strong background in Cisco Data Centre solutions, including strong SDWAN/ Wifi/ switches and ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure).
• Deep understanding of enterprise networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Experience with cloud networking (Azure) and hybrid environments.
• Proven experience in high-availability, disaster recovery, and failover solutions.

Tech Stack:

• Mainly All Cisco
• 2 new Data Centre rebuilds
• Firewalls - either Fortinet or Palo Alto
• Routing protocols (BGP, OSPF etc) and MPLS networks,
• SDWAN
• WIFI
• Wireless Controllers
• ACI

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Ideally CCP or CCIE
• Additional certifications such as Azure Networking, CISSP, TOGAF, or ITIL would be beneficial.
