Purpose of this position / Position summary
The Transformation Management Office (TMO) is a specialized organizational function established to oversee and drive organizational transformation initiatives. It standardizes project management practices, processes, and tools. It provides governance, oversight, and support to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and align with the organization's strategic objectives. The special focus is on projects to transform ZEISS Türkiye organization into a more data- and process driven organization in line with the global ZEISS transformation projects and the local Winning in Türkiye (WIT) growth strategy.
Primary duties and responsibilities
- Align the vision, goals, and objectives of the transformation initiatives with senior management and communicate the benefits of transformation initiatives to employees and other stakeholders.
- Ensure structured execution, monitoring, and delivery of transformation initiatives using project management principles, incl. create and maintain templates, tools, and documentation for consistent project execution. Ensure tools are effectively utilized to streamline project execution and reporting.
- Track the progress, performance, and health of projects using key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Support project teams in resolving issues and escalating critical problems when necessary. Identify risks, issues, and deviations from plans, and recommend corrective actions.
- Act as a central point of communication between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
- Facilitate regular project status reporting to stakeholders and leadership to ensure stakeholders are informed about project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Develop and implement change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, technologies, or structures. Address resistance to change by engaging stakeholders and fostering a culture of collaboration.
- Provide training, mentoring, and support to project team members.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement in project management skills and practices.
- Other tasks as assigned by the manager
By fulfilling these responsibilities, the TMO enhances project efficiency, reduces risks, and ensures alignment with organizational goals, ultimately driving better business outcomes.
Qualifications and Skills
- University degree in Business Administration or Economics or equivalent experience in business environment.
- At least 3 years’ working experience in the industrial environment of international companies or in a management consulting company.
- Strong project management skills with a proven track record in managing complex initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization, and to facilitate alignment across diverse teams.
- Proven experience in driving organizational change and influencing stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze and interpret data as well as to derive and present actionable insights.
- High level of emotional intelligence, empathy as well as resilience, and adaptability.
- High degree of pro-activity, independent thinking, and self-learning abilities.
- Ability to present to smaller and larger audiences online and offline (e.g. all-hands-meetings, trainings, etc.).
- Proficiency in written and spoken Turkish and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, and Project management tools.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
