Head of Data and AI

For our client, IT consulting firm with expertise in cybersecurity, cloud development, data analytics, and artificial intelligence based in Oslo, Norway we are looking for Head of Data and AI.

As the Head of Data & AI, you will have a broad and important role, responsible for both advisory and development work. You will be a key figure in the development of company’s services within data and artificial intelligence. The role includes consulting and project work with clients, while also contributing to the company’s long-term growth and development. You will be part of the leadership team in Norway.

Key responsibilities:

• Providing advisory services and expert support to clients, focusing on developing scalable and innovative solutions.
• Participating in the recruitment of new team members, including interviews and candidate evaluations.
• Building your own team of outstanding talents
• Contributing in sales meetings and negotiations with clients to identify and clarify their needs within data and AI.
• Developing strategies for the company’s Data & AI initiatives, focusing on both short-term results and long-term goals.
• Collaborating closely with the sales team to develop offerings and strategies that meet market demand.

Qualifications:

• 7–10+ years of experience in data analytics, machine learning, and/or AI
• Experience in consulting and project delivery, preferably within the consulting industry
• Established presence in the industry with a strong professional network
• Fluent in Norwegian, written and spoken
• Expertise in modern data and AI platforms such as Azure Synapse, AWS SageMaker, Snowflake, Fabric, Databricks, etc.
• Experience with Data Lakehouse architecture, predictive models, and generative AI
• Experience in recruitment and team leadership, preferably in the tech industry
• Strong business understanding and ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical decision-makers
• Experience in sales meetings and developing strategies that align with client needs
• Familiarity with security and compliance aspects related to data and AI
