Key Accountabilities

• Monitoring Applications: Regularly monitor applications to ensure they are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes checking for any issues or anomalies and addressing them promptly.
• User and Security Administration: Conduct user and security administration tasks, such as managing user access, permissions, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Incident Management: Handle incident management by responding to and resolving application-related issues reported by users or detected through monitoring tools.
• Support in performing unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
• Deploy and maintain applications.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., business analysts, testers, project managers, business stakeholders).
• Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
• Contribute to the improvement of system performance and efficiency.
• Adhere to coding standards and best practices.
• Batch Processes: Manage and oversee batch processes, ensuring they are completed successfully and on time.
• Application Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as applying updates, patches, and making necessary configuration changes to keep applications up-to-date and secure.
• Write, test, and debug code.
• System Enhancements: Liaise with systems development staff or software suppliers to develop and implement system enhancements that address known problems or fulfill user requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain and update documentation related to application operations, including procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
• Application Support Requests: Receive and log requests for application support from the service desk, developers, or users. Prioritize and escalate requests as needed.
• Performance Monitoring and Improvement: Monitor application performance and make necessary adjustments to improve efficiency. This may involve modifying system parameters, developing workarounds, or reconfiguring systems.
• System Enhancements: Liaise with systems development staff or software suppliers to develop and implement system enhancements that address known problems or fulfill user requirements.
• Implementation and Controls: Ensure the implementation of information and records management policies, ensuring that information is protected, available, and accessible as required.
