What you’ll get to do

As a Backend Developer, you'll play a key role in designing and developing scalable server-side applications and APIs that power our platform. You'll work closely with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to build performant and secure systems.

Among Other Things You Will

• Develop server-side logic and write clean and maintainable code following best practices
• Design and implement robust, maintainable, and scalable RESTful APIs using Ruby on Rails
• Optimize application performance, including database queries and overall efficiency
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, continuously improving system stability and implementing security and data protection measures
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to the team effort
• Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with backend services
  
  

Who You Are

• Several years of relevant experience in software development, with expertise in backend developing using Ruby on Rails
• Solid understanding of OOP and design patterns
• Experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
• Proficient in version control systems (e.g. Git) and container technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP or Azure) and frontend technologies (g. HTML, CSS or JavaScript) is considered an advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset
• High level of accountability, quality awareness, and reliability in task execution

The annual gross salary for this position based on a full-time employment depending on your individual professional qualifications and previous experience ranges from € 52,500- to € 63,000-. This includes: full health insurance, occupational accident insurance, public pension scheme and public unemployment insurance.
