Product Owner - full or part time from 20h (all genders)

Railway companies around the world are moving away from decentralised working methods to consolidated control centres. Frequentis can help overcome these hurdles with its fixed terminal system platform, migrating to the Future Railway Mobile Communication System and enabling any digital radio network for unified communication. Our new system platform follows the FRMCS target architecture and will replace the existing communication system in operations centres.

Key Tasks

• Own and manage the team backlog, ensuring it is aligned with customer/stakeholder needs and priorities.
• Act as the primary liaison between the stream-aligned team and product management, ensuring clear communication and alignment on product goals.
• Participate in iteration planning meetings, providing clarity on backlog items and ensuring the team understands the priorities and dependencies.
• Define epics on team level and acceptance criteria, ensuring they are well-documented and understood by the team.
• Gather and incorporate feedback from customers, stakeholders and team members to continuously improve the product.
• Work closely with Product Management to ensure the product vision and strategy are effectively communicated and executed.
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Completed technical or economic education with strong foundation in Agile Methodologies (preferred SAFe)
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in an Agile environment.
• Experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
• Basic understanding of software development processes and technologies.
• SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification is preferred.
• Fluent English and German skills
