You’ll be part of a cross-functional team with talented people that are responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment. What You’ll Work With

Design, build and maintain APIs middleware with

• Typescript
• MySQL

UIs with

• React
• MaterialUI
• CSS

A great plus is some backend knowledge with

• Node.js
• Elastic Search
• GraphQL

What we expect from you:

• Create scalable, future-proof software architectures, and realistic plans for developing them across the whole Virta Platform
• Take a hands-on approach to software development, turning your ideas into impactful solutions.
• Collaborate closely with development teams and business stakeholders to brainstorm and design innovative software solutions.
• Confidently coach and mentor developers, guiding them through the implementation of your plans. You are comfortable creating technical documentation and contributing to internal tech blog posts.
• Demonstrate excellent collaboration skills by treating everyone with respect, supporting your colleagues’ growth, and fostering a positive team environment. You are proactive in asking challenging questions and providing clear, actionable guidance.
• Exhibit exceptional persistence and determination, understanding that developing elegant solutions to complex problems requires both patience and resilience.
• Prioritize building high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions, recognizing their importance for long-term success.

To give perspective to what you’ll start working with (or will be decommissioning), our current technology stack includes:

• NodeJS microservices with Typescript, a PHP 8 Laravel 8 Monolith, and PHP legacy system with JQuery UI
• React based web UI’s, Native Apps using Kotlin and Swift
• MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka, all running on AWS
• Microservice deployment on top of Kubernetes
• Bamboo, Bitrise and Drone, Bitbucket Pipelines for CI/CD
