We're looking for a skilled Mobile Developer for a permanent position as part of our Technology team! We are a 60-person expert organization specializing in cryptocurrency services. We have two subteams, product, and platform, working side by side with different key responsibility areas. The platform team is responsible for general improvements on the system where the product team is handling different product related features.

As a Mobile Developer, your responsibilities will include:

• Design and Develop High-Quality Mobile Applications: Utilize React Native to create and sustain robust mobile applications.
• Collaborate with Product and Design Teams: Work closely with product managers and UX/UI designers to transform user requirements into practical applications.
• Optimize for Performance and Scalability: Ensure applications run efficiently and can scale to handle increasing loads.
• Write Clean and Efficient Code: Maintain high coding standards with clear, maintainable, and efficient coding practices.
• Debug and Resolve Technical Issues: Diagnose and fix technical problems, ensuring smooth application functionality.
• Integrate Third-Party Dependencies and APIs: Work with various third-party libraries and APIs to enhance application functionality.
• Participate in Code Reviews: Engage in code reviews and documentation to maintain and improve code quality standards.

Our offices are located in Helsinki, Tampere, and Jyväskylä, but our team works all around Finland, primarily remotely. You’ll have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in Finland, with occasional travel to one of our offices to meet your team members. To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Proven React Native Experience: Demonstrable experience as a React Native developer.
• Bare and Expo Workflows: Hands-on experience with both bare React Native projects and Expo-managed workflows.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript Skills: Proficient in JavaScript and familiar with TypeScript.
• Experience with React Native Tools: Knowledge of tools like React Navigation in the React and React Native ecosystem.
• Best Practices Knowledge: Well-versed in React Native best practices.
• Familiarity with Native Build Tools: Understanding of tools such as XCode, Gradle, and Android Studio.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs: Proficient in integrating and working with RESTful APIs.
• Version Control Proficiency: Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail in creating aesthetically pleasing user interfaces in collaboration with designers.
• Excellent Teamwork and Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Agile Methodology Understanding: Familiar with Agile development practices.

Nice to Have:

While not essential, the following skills and experiences would be advantageous:

• CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment systems.
• Tools Like FastLane, expo update, or Expo EAS CLI: Experience with these automation tools.
• Firebase Knowledge: Understanding and experience with Firebase services.
• Automated Testing Familiarity: Knowledge of testing tools like Jest and Detox.
• Performance Tuning Experience: Experience in optimizing application performance and memory usage.
• Animation Libraries Usage: Prior use of animation libraries (e.g., Reanimated, Lottie) to enhance user interfaces
• Proficient with AI tools: Up to date with current tooling for development (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
