We're searching for an exceptional PMO Lead to join our client and report directly to the Head of PMO. This isn't just a managing role; it's an opportunity to be a pivotal force in ensuring robust project delivery, supporting our organisation's ambitious strategic goals in a challenging yet rewarding environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
As our PMO Lead, you'll be at the forefront of shaping our project delivery framework.
Your expertise will be crucial in:
- Leading and mentoring the PMO team, imparting best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Managing and evolving their project governance framework, methodologies, and standards.
- Developing and embedding our delivery model, ensuring quality assurance across all projects.
- Building strong project management capabilities across our teams, identifying and addressing capacity and capability gaps through targeted L&D programmes.
- Creating and actively managing a master plan integrated across major programmes, detailing and overseeing a critical dependency log.
- Overseeing financial management and change management across the project portfolio.
- Ensuring the successful implementation of the PMO's strategy, services, and deliverables.
- Monitoring and assisting with programme reporting to senior management and stakeholders.
- Establishing frameworks and standards for Programme and Project Management.
- Managing and compiling programme-related financial and KPI information, ensuring project costs are well-managed.
What You'll Bring:
You're a highly experienced and certified professional with:
- A 3rd Degree level qualification.
- A recognised Project Management certification
- Demonstrable experience in leading a PMO office
- Excellent knowledge and experience of industry-standard best practice Portfolio and Programme Management.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, MS Visio, and MS Project.
- Strong exposure to the application and support of PPM tools.
- Exceptional skills in creating and maintaining project and programme plans, including risks, actions, issues, and dependencies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills for reports and presentations.
- Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management, and resource planning.
