We are seeking a Research Associate to join our Irish Product Design & Application team in Fermoy (Cork). In this role, you'll have an impact by focusing on scientific experimentation to deepen our understanding of biosolutions and improve their impact on human well-being. You will collaborate closely with our scientists and technicians.

The Product Design & Application team is a vital part of Human Health Biosolutions (HHB), and we specialize in creating science-based biosolutions for our customers, focusing on the formulation, implementation, and troubleshooting of solid dosage forms containing pre-, post-, and probiotics.

In This Role You’ll Make An Impact By
- Support the formulation design & the development of human health related products with probiotic bacteria ingredients in final dietary supplement formats (tablets, capsules, sachets etc).
- Responsible for routine analysis work on lab prototypes in support of the Product Design & Application team projects
- Accountable for support of product development application in a laboratory environment
- Independently plan and carry out laboratory activities in line with project timelines and workload priorities.
- Conduct experimental studies, collect and analyse data, and compile clear, accurate reports for project teams.
- Monitor the stability of samples and prototypes, and report findings to support Product Design & Application (PD&A) projects.
- Ensure all laboratory activities meet internal quality standards and comply with safety, environmental, and Novonesis H&S regulations.
- MSc or BSc (+2 years’ experience) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Food Science or similar
- Hands on lab experience in product development or application testing.
- Microbiology experience strongly preferred
- Proficient English skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Team-player with ability to adapt in a dynamic workplace
- On-site in Fermoy
- Travel up to 10%
