DevOps Engineer

Summary Description:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team in Amstelveen, Netherlands. This is a hybrid role starting immediately for an initial 1-year contract, with the potential to extend based on performance and project needs. The role involves supporting and enhancing Java-based applications with a strong emphasis on automation, deployment, and infrastructure reliability.

Requirements Description:

The ideal candidate will combine strong DevOps and backend technical knowledge with excellent soft skills to bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

Tasks Description:

• Collaborate with developers to automate deployments of Java (Spring Boot) applications
• Manage and monitor PostgreSQL databases
• Administer and optimize Linux systems
• Write and maintain Bash scripts for automation
• Improve CI/CD processes and pipelines
• Provide production support and troubleshoot operational issues
• Take ownership of DevOps processes and delivery

Technical Skills:

• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes
• Background in automation, monitoring, or system optimization
